Palm Beach Mega Tan's gift card solution takes advantage of Ernex's Electronic Funds Transfer service to move the proceeds of gift card sales from the franchise location's bank account to the head office bank account. Once a gift card is redeemed, the proceeds of the redemption are moved from the head office bank account to the bank account of the location where the gift card was used.
"Electronic Funds Transfer is an important component of a gift card program for franchise businesses," said Malcolm Fowler, Senior Vice President, Ernex. "By automating the process of moving funds between bank accounts, we are eliminating the manual reconciliation that previously caused administrative headaches for many franchise-based companies."
The gift cards are activated and processed through a combined debit/credit/gift card processing terminal from Moneris Solutions Corporation.
