VANCOUVER, December 2, 2004 - Franchise Bancorp has launched a gift card program across four of its brands with the help of Ernex, a division of Moneris Solutions Corporation ("Ernex"). Ernex is a leader in real-time loyalty and stored-value gift card programs for medium to large specialty retail, restaurant and hospitality organizations.
The four brands that are launching the gift cards are Living Lighting, Global & Ryan's Pet Foods, Rafters and Panhandler. In a unique twist, gift cards from all of the Franchise Bancorp retail divisions named above can be purchased and used across all brands, giving additional flexibility and convenience to the customer.

This increased spending, or "lift", gives merchants a positive return on investment for their gift card programs, and is one of the reasons that merchants are attracted to using electronic gift cards.
