ERNEX HELPS LAURA SECORD LAUNCH
GIFT CARD PROGRAM IN TIME FOR CHRISTMAS
VANCOUVER, November 16, 2004 - Ernex, a division of Moneris Solutions Corporation ("Ernex") and an industry leader in real-time loyalty and stored-value gift card programs, has assisted specialty retailer Laura Secord in launching a gift card program in time for the 2004 Christmas season.
"As a leading boxed chocolate retailer, Christmas is a very important time of year for us. Working with Ernex to get our gift card program launched before Christmas is crucial to capitalize on the increased sales that gift cards bring versus traditional gift certificates," said Muhammad T. Rehman, Supervisor, Laura Secord. Electronic gift cards historically outsell paper based gift certificates, because they are more easily displayed and merchandized at the point of sale. Laura Secord has 160 locations in Canada where the gift cards will be available for purchase.

Laura Secord selected Ernex as its gift card program vendor in August 2004 because of Ernex's ability to launch the program in time for the Christmas season.
