VANCOUVER, September 24, 2002 - Ernex , a provider of real-time marketing solutions, today announced that Aeroplan has signed an agreement whereby it will utilize Ernex's real-time marketing solutions to offer immediate reward and recognition programs to six million Aeroplan members. By seeking to adopt Ernex's real-time reward capabilities, Aeroplan will be able to award miles and instant prizes to its customers right at the point-of-sale through its expanding network of participating merchants.
Aeroplan, recognized as the "World's Best Frequent Flyer Program," by the prestigious Official Airline Guide (OAG), will look to leverage Ernex's real-time loyalty technology to create a national and international coalition of merchants, providing extensive benefits to both Aeroplan members and participating merchant organizations.
By instituting Ernex AcceleratorTM, Ernex's real-time marketing solution, Aeroplan members will have the ability to instantly earn miles and receive up-to-date mileage accumulations right on their receipt, at the time of purchase. Once the plan is implemented, each time members make purchases at any of the participating merchants, including retailers, hotels, car rental agencies and restaurants, they will automatically accumulate Aeroplan miles.
In the future, Aeroplan will look to further enhance the value to customers by offering instant bonus mileage, sweepstakes
contests, personalized messaging and couponing - all at the merchant
point-of-sale.
