GIFT CARDS - EXPAND REVENUE, ATTRACT CUSTOMERS AND BUILD BRAND AWARENESS
Gift Cards are HOT, HOT, HOT! A study conducted by Leger Marketing, on behalf of Moneris Solutions, indicated that about 1/3 of Canadians say they choose to shop at certain establishments because they offer gift cards. Also, when redeeming a gift card, about half of Canadians spend more than the value of the card. A Gift Card Program can help businesses expand revenue, attract customers, and build brand. IT'S TIME TO LEARN HOW!

Electronic Payments Week recently interviewed Malcolm Fowler for an article titled "Intelligent Loyalty Programs Help To Maximize Returns".
Loyalty programs can more than double credit card use and fee income for banks. But if they were really smart, issuers would use the information buried
in their transaction data to design systems that reinforce loyalty behavior among their users and, in the process, maximize those returns for merchants and banks alike. This is the thinking
of Malcolm Fowler, vice president and general manager of Ernex, the loyalty and gift division of Canada's Moneris Solutions Corp.
"When people think of creating a loyalty program, they think of it from a coalition perspective," he says. It is built on having merchants, money,
and a membership base like an alumni association, whereas a bank, which has deep data resources on its customers, should be building these coalitions out
of those data, instead of looking first at the merchants, who will then contribute money. Fowler likes to call the product of this idea a "Growalition."

The Wisemarketer.com recently featured an article by Malcolm Fowler titled "Simple steps to make
your loyalty scheme into a 'Growalition'".
In this thought-leading article Malcolm Fowler of Ernex explains how a company running its own loyalty
programme can partner with like-minded and related businesses to grow into a loyalty coalition...
Loyalty programs have become extremely popular. So popular, in fact, that smart business operators know
that if they design a loyalty program that is innovative, valuable and simple to use,
consumers will not only make room for a loyalty card in their wallet, they'll actually use it.
