Delta Hotels launches gift card program using technology from Ernex |
|
Designed to encourage repeat business among valued customers and extend the brand to a broader audience, Delta Hotels' electronic gift card program was developed using technology from Ernex, one of North America's leading providers of real-time loyalty and gift card programs and a division of Moneris Solutions Corporation. Delta Hotels' clients can now purchase gift cards of several fixed values including $25, $50, $100 and $250. Ideal to give to friends and family as gifts -whether an indulgent spa treatment, savoury dinner, or a relaxing night at one of Delta Hotels' 37 city centre and airport hotels and resorts - the gift cards can be purchased through www.deltahotels.com or at hotel front desks. Variable gift cards are also available to be purchased for corporate incentives or for employee reward programs for values between $100 and $5000. These can be purchased by calling (416) 874-2021. In addition, Delta Hotels will use these variable gift cards for marketing programs, as compensation rewards for high-value customers, or as rewards for their Delta Privilege loyalty program members. "Our new gift card program provides a great opportunity for our satisfied customers to share the Delta Hotels' experience with friends and family," said Ken Lambert, vice-president of sales and marketing. "These gift cards also establish a new branding channel for us, creating a legion of unofficial brand ambassadors who help tell the Delta Hotels' story every time they open their purse or wallet." "Smart businesses like Delta Hotels realize the potential for establishing greater loyalty and brand awareness through gift card usage," said Malcolm Fowler, Vice President & General Manager of Ernex. "A stored-value gift card program attracts new customers, expands revenue and builds the brand, and from a customer standpoint, it's as simple and easy to use as it is to spend a night at the Delta Hotels." Previously, Delta Hotels used a paper-based gift certificate program. Not only are gift cards harder to duplicate than their paper-based counterparts, they ease the reconciliation challenges merchants face with a paper-based program by electronically tracking outstanding gift card funds. In addition to providing the technology behind the new gift card program, Ernex has managed the technology behind the Delta Privilege Membership Card since January 2003. Related Articles and Links
